Social network marketing is very much becoming a popular type
of marketing for many businesses. Many organizations large and
small are benefiting from many of the more popular ones such
as FaceBook, Myspace and Twitter.
Lets go into further detail of how each of them can really
help your business online.
FaceBook
FaceBook has been around since 2004. You have to be 13 years
old to join it. It is becoming the largest social network site
upon the internet. Many marketers out there perfer FaceBook
because of number of users and features it has. One of the
features allow you to create a fan page where you can promote
your business or product and send people to that page. People you
don't even know will likely visit the site and talk about it on
there FaceBook wall which could easily help you build your fan list
much quicker and bring visiters to your main sales page or blog.
This works the same as viral marketing, other people help you get
visiters to your site this way.
Myspace
Myspace has been around a bit longer than FaceBook. Infact
they started in 2003. Myspace still does have a loyal following
of people who stuck with them from the beginning. You can
setup personal profile like FaceBook, even add photos as well
as let others know where you worked at and school you attended.
The only bad part using Myspace is there's plenty of spam that
gets in your folder so be careful before you open up your Myspace
inbox.
Twitter
Who hasn't heard of Twitter? One of the newest sites to hit
the internet by storm, but quickly has become one of the
easiest ways to interact with other users online. Many people
will post messages (or Tweet as they call it) using there
mobile phones. Twitter is a great advertising tool where you
get to post a short message and add your link at the end
hoping that people will click and visit your site and its all
free advertising. Post just about anything you want as long as
its withing there guidelines.
A great way to get people to click on your links using Twitter
is to make everyone of your posts sound like a headline. Your
message has to sound exciting enough each time if you want people
to click on them. If you want you can go back later and keep
posting the same message many times over. There is no limit on
how much you can post. But beware that those that are following
you can easily delete you from there list. Some of the celebrities
such as Ashton Kutcher has helped in making twitter what it is today.
These are just some of the many social websites out there that are
all free to join and if you are a business owner or involved with
affiliate marketing, I highly recommend you join these sites.
Your busines could benefit greatly leading to more customers and
sales, while making some new friends along the way.
